    Biography:
    Paula Kett, PhD, MPH, RN, IBCLC is a research scientist in the Department of Family Medicine in the School of Medicine at the University of Washington (UW). She is the Assistant Deputy Director of the UW Center for Health Workforce Studies and the Deputy Director of the Health Workforce Research Center on Health Equity, both of which are housed in the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Kett is a nurse scientist with expertise in public health systems, the health workforce, the public health nurse workforce, and perinatal health. She conducts interdisciplinary systems and equity-oriented research mainly focused on the public and perinatal health workforce, with a specialized interest in addressing perinatal health inequities. Her commitment to practice- and policy-relevant research stems from her experience as a nurse (first in intensive care and then in public health), lactation consultant, and maternal health program manager. Dr. Kett completed her Master of Public Health and PhD in Nursing from the University of Washington.
